It’s almost time for the Schoolbox Meetup 2017!

The 2017 Schoolbox Meetup

Get ready for the Schoolbox 2017 Meetup, which has been given a shake-up in format this year! Due to popular demand, this year we’re focused on providing you with plenty of opportunities to network and learn about Schoolbox best practice and how you can maximise your school’s investment.

The event will be held on Thursday, August 31st and Friday, September 1st and will include showcases from our most innovative schools and how they’re using Schoolbox to propel their schools into the future.

We have taken in all the feedback from last year’s event and have planned two fantastic days for all attendees. We expect well over 300 members of our community to attend, so it’s vital to register early and secure your seat.

The 2017 Meetup will be held at The Centre, Ivanhoe Town Hall, which means we’ll have plenty of room to hold sessions where schools can show off their Schoolbox instance, as well as an Exhibition Room for more private conversations.

It’s important to us that this year’s approach is not one-size-fits-all, which is why we have organised speakers from different schools to tailor presentations for all of our different audiences, showcasing their use of Schoolbox.  Session highlights include Parent Engagement, Continuous Reporting, Rollout Success and Student Wellbeing – for our full session plan, please visit our dedicated Meetup 2017 Sessions page.

Guest speaker

In addition to some of our most innovative (and awesome) schools, this year we’ve organised a guest speaker chosen specifically for the waves they’re creating in the education technology industry. We don’t want to give everything away though, so the guest speaker will be announced here and on our Meetup 2017 Help page very soon – stay tuned!

Here’s what you can expect at the Meetup

The Meetup 2017 will be your ultimate place for all things teaching, learning, networking and, especially, discovering the future of education technology with the help of some Schoolbox and non-Schoolbox experts! A rundown of the agenda is up on the Meetup 2017 Help page, but here is a brief intro into what you can expect:

Day One

The first day will run from approximately 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with the Cocktail Party to follow. We will be running 4 sessions on the first day, with 3 streams per session. You will need to secure your seat for whichever stream interests you most when you register.

Day Two

Day two will commence around 9 AM, with our farewell note to end around 4:30 PM. This day will consist of 3 sessions, with 3 streams per session. You will need to register your interest for each stream when you sign up for the Meetup, so please ensure you have read the details on our sessions Help page.

Don’t forget, we will also have our Exhibition Room running both days, which will include 8 booths focused on providing support or answering any questions you may have. It’s a fantastic space for you to connect with members of our team, as well as some of our integration partners.

Join us at #SBMu17 on Thursday 31st of August and Friday the 1st of September to discover more about Schoolbox.

Networking/social event

We’ll be hosting a cocktail party from 5 PM on day one to ensure the first day ends with a bang, and to give you more opportunities to network and socialise. The party will be held at the same venue, The Centre Ivanhoe, so you don’t need to worry about transportation. We’ve organised everything for you, down to the fine detail – so all you’ll need to do is show up and have fun!

Registration information

This is a Schoolbox ‘invite-only’ event. We encourage our customers to send at least one representative to the Meetup. If you’re one of our schools, you will receive an email detailing the registration process.

Due to expected attendance at this year’s event, we have allocated three free tickets for each of our clients, and a $30 fee for any tickets beyond this.

Visit our events page for more information, or register for the 2017 Meetup through our dedicated Help page.

Please contact us if you require access to Help and currently don’t have it.

Can’t wait to see you there!
