About the role

The position of Backend Web Developer is pivotal in supporting our goal of continuously improving the Schoolbox platform, delivering a high-quality system for supporting the learning of students in K-12 schools.

The position will be responsible for developing the backend code that runs Schoolbox. Key to the role is the writing of clean reusable code, exposing well-designed APIs and being on top of the latest development practices and standards. The position requires programming in technologies such as PHP, JavaScript and SQL. The applicant should be framework agnostic and be able to draw experiences from many open source frameworks to create the best solution.  

The role provides an opportunity to be a key contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly enthusiastic and motivated team that develops software that is making a difference in the lives of students and educators.
