The Role

Sick of seeing ads asking for more years experience in a technology that hasn’t been around for that long? Want to experience technologies or approaches that don’t even exist yet? Been cooked up in a NOC or high level application support desk role and you feel you could automate your way out of your job given the chance? Then keep reading. 

New technologies that don’t exist you say? Well, yea, we are a Devops / ops / support team that will happily give anything a go as long as it makes our work lives easier, so there is always an eye on where the industry is headed and as we all still have a job we haven’t automated our way out of them as yet. 

We also double as the T3 support function for the business so there will be instant gratification opportunities available while on call or covering support.

About You

Experience

Yes we know we said we wouldn’t but this is more for the context of the stack and if it’s a good fit for your skill rather than resume padding:

  • Linux/Unix administration (Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS)
  • Software packaging/repackaging
  • Exposure to deployment automation tools (Puppet / Ansible)
  • BASH or Python scripting
  • Experience providing Level 2 & 3 support across Linux infrastructure environments.
  • Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2)
  • SQL
  • PHP
